wedding-hair-and-makeup-trial-spokane-cdaIS A HAIR AND MAKEUP TRIAL NECESSARY?

Yes, absolutely. During your hair and makeup trial session we will talk about the details of your big day, share all the personalized touches you are putting into your vision, get to know your skin and hair, assess your comfort level, and see the timeless and elegant looks you have chosen for your wedding hair and makeup come to life.

You trial session is so important because there are no do-overs for your wedding day, or for your wedding pictures. We want you to walk away from your trial session secure in the knowledge that your look is just right. We want you to love how you will look and feel for your big day.

  • Trials are normally scheduled 1-2 months in advance of your wedding. However, this can be changed to fit your needs.
  • Trials are scheduled Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM. Morning times are best so you can wear your look for several hours and make sure everything stays secure and feels great throughout the day.
  • Weekend trials are scheduled very rarely, as we are usually booked and unable to accommodate further bookings.
  • You can expect your hair and makeup trial to last approximately 3 hours as we discuss details and potentially do more than one look.
  • Trials are held in the comfort of your location. We bring our professional and sanitary kit to you, along with professional makeup lighting.
  • We will take pictures and note the products used in your look for reference on the wedding day.

  • Wear a white or beige top, preferably something with an open neckline.
  • Come with a makeup-free and clean face, and one-day-dirty, dry hair.
  • Face and lips should be exfoliated and moisturized well.
  • Brows should be groomed prior to your appointment. (A fresh wax is not recommended.)
  • Do not bring friends and family with you. Too many cooks in the kitchen make decisions hard to finalize and your look may not be cohesive. It is also distracting to you and to the artist with you. Your trial is about you.
  • Do not bring your fiancé! Your look should be a surprise!
  • Look for inspiration photos on Pinterest and have them prepared to show your artist. Choose inspiration photos that look like your complexion, eye color, eye shape, hair color, and hair type.
  • Keep in mind that most of the photos you see around on Pinterest are professional models who are photoshopped. They are not reality.
  • Have a picture of your dress on-hand.
  • Have open communication about your likes and your dislikes with your stylist. We are here to serve you and want to know how we can do better.
